High Schools



Coffee County is served by two high schools: Coffee County Central High School and Tullahoma High School. Both high schools over comprehensive CTE programs with CCCHS offering 14 of the 16 state certified CTE programs of study and THS offering 10.

Coffee County Central High School also offers seniors and some juniors, the opportunity to participate in a large-scale Manufacturing Work Based Learning Program that is made possible by cooperation with several local industries. This program gives students the opportunity to get work experience in local factories and helps them to determine a career path.

The state’s graduation rate at 89.1%, is higher than it’s ever been, Coffee County’s combined rate at its two high schools exceeds that at 90.55%.

 




Secondary Education


Coffee County is located with 35 miles of three TCAT facilities. TCATs offer: short term training from 8 weeks (Truck Driving) to 20 months (Industrial Maintenance); self-paced, competency-based curriculum designed for job proficiency; hands-on Instruction based on industry needs; technology foundations program with Integrated Math and English, specialized to the student’s program; multiple exit levels and specialized custom training. Additionally, an Industrial Maintenance Instructional Service Center through TCAT McMinnville opened in Manchester in February 2018. The center offers day and night courses and is looking to expand courses offered at the Manchester location.

With five locations in the local area, Motlow offers customized workforce training programs, courses in mechatronics, robotics, and a workforce development readiness program along with associate degrees in 8 other departments. In 2019 Motlow opened a brand-new Automation and Robotics Training Center, in McMinnville which is the only facility of its kind within a 500-mile radius.

Coffee County is 30 miles from MTSU, the largest four-year college in the state. MTSU offers 300+ programs of study including Mechatronics Engineering and Engineering Technology.

Tennessee Tech is located approximately 45 minutes from Coffee County and offers seven engineering programs of study along with a host of other degree options.

The University of Tennessee Space Institute (UTSI) is a graduate education and research institution adjacent to the USAF Arnold Engineering Development Complex. UTSI is an internationally recognized institution for graduate study and research in engineering, physics, mathematics, and aviation systems. UTSI has many notable graduates including 9 astronauts.
