Duck River Electric Membership Corporation (Electric)
Duck River Electric Membership Corporation (DREMC), a Touchstone Energy® cooperative, is a not-for-profit, member-owned utility providing electric and other services to more than 73,000 homes, farms, businesses and industries in southern Middle Tennessee. DREMC serves an area of approximately 2,500 square miles in Coffee, Bedford, Franklin, Giles, Grundy, Hickman, Lawrence, Lewis, Lincoln, Marion, Marshall, Maury, Moore, Rutherford, and Williamson counties. DREMC provides reliable and affordable electricity to Manchester and much of Coffee County, with the exception of the city of Tullahoma. The electric cooperative’s roots go back to 1936. This year marks DREMC’s 80th anniversary.
The co-op has five district offices – Manchester, Shelbyville, Decherd, Lewisburg and Columbia – and area offices in Sewanee, Lynchburg and Chapel Hill. With a work force of 170 employees, DREMC has its corporate headquarters and administrative center in Shelbyville. The president and chief executive officer is Scott Spence.
DREMC is the fourth largest electric cooperative in Tennessee and among the 50 largest in the nation.
Manchester Water & Sewer Department
The City of Manchester Water and Sewer Departments are the providers of potable water and sanitary sewer service for areas within Coffee County and the corporate limits of the City of Manchester, including the Coffee County Interstate Industrial Park, the Manchester Industrial Park, and the Coffee County Joint Industrial Park.
Elk River Public Utility District (Natural Gas)
The Elk River Public Utility District (ERPUD) is a public utility district established by the State of Tennessee in 1955. The District has 56 dedicated and experienced employees who provide safe, clean, dependable natural gas energy for our residential, commercial and industrial customers throughout our franchised service area of Coffee and Franklin Counties. The District has approximately 16,000 meters, 750 miles of mains and 24/7 emergency dispatch.
Tullahoma Utilities Authority (Electric, Water/Wastewater, Telecommunications)
Tullahoma Utilities Authority (TUA) provides dependable utility service to 10,700 electric, 9,900 water, 7,600 sewer, and 3,500 fiber customers in the City of Tullahoma and surrounding area. TUA’s electric department is a Reliable Public Power Provider as certified by the American Public Power Association, scoring 97 out of 100 most recently. TUA has embraced technology, as evidenced by its Fiber to the Premise system, which can provide up to 1GB symmetrical internet to any residential or business customer, its electric distribution automation system, its redundant 161 kV TVA delivery points, and its state of the art water and wastewater treatment plants.
